Check that the space is ready to clean
A final clean is difficult to organise while trades are still cutting, sanding or moving materials through the same rooms. Ask your renovation team when the area will be ready and whether further dusty work is planned. If dates are uncertain, say so in the enquiry.
- Confirm the work sequence and when trades will finish in each area.
- Identify leftover materials and agree who will remove them.
- Provide access to the rooms and the services needed for the agreed clean.
- Tell the cleaner about unfinished surfaces, restricted areas or known hazards.
- Supply care instructions for new flooring, glass, benches and fittings.

Walk the new space room by room
Photograph what needs attention from a safe position. A general description of “building dust” can hide very different work, from accessible surface dust to bonded residue on a delicate new finish. Flag residue before anyone assumes it can simply be scrubbed off.

- Prioritise the areas needed for everyday use.
- Coordinate carpet or window work if it requires separate arrangements.
- Allow a final look through the agreed areas before rooms are fully furnished.
